Universal Thumb                    

The Air A Med Universal Thumb brace was designed to assist in the treatment of wrist sprains/strains, tendonitis, carpal tunnel, De Quervain's Tenosynovitis, Gamekeeper's Thumb, post-operative stabilization, and/or post-cast care​​. The goal of this brace is to keep the wrist in a neutral position, secure the thumb in the abducted position, and provide stability to the wrist complex by limiting flexion, extension, and rotation. 

The Universal Thumb brace creates a comfortable experience with optimal finger dexterity. It limits wrist flexion by utilizing a removable palmer stay that is anatomically contoured. The brace also features a removable and adjustable dorsal stay that increases wrist stabilization and limits wrist extension. The thumb stay ensures that the thumb is secured in the abducted position.

This brace has a universal design that can be fitted to the wrist by utilizing our EZ Pull Tie lacing system that is designed to offer a customizable level of compression through easy-to-grip pull tabs. The D-rings allow for customizable compression and stability. An additional strap secures the thumb in the abducted position. All straps are held by medical-grade hook and loop fasteners. It utilizes internal padding for cushioning as well as a breathable cloth material under the strapping system for optimal comfort.
