The Air A Med TLSO w/ ATE Back Brace is utilized in the treatment of lower back pain/strains, post-operative care, and/or spinal anomalies. The Thoracic Lumbar Sacral Orthosis (TLSO) works to stabilize the spine and provide significant motion restriction that provides acute pain relief and assists in the healing process.
This brace features an Anterior Thoracic Extension (ATE) panel that is placed on the anterior portion of the brace to provide additional stability and support to the spinal column. By extending from the pubic symphysis to the xiphoid process, our anterior panel further restricts flexion of the spinal column.
Our brace is equipped with an easy-to-use universal sizing system. The brace has several components that work in conjunction to offer both a customizable fit and optimal support. The universal sizing ranges from SM to 4XL, we also offer an optional extension panel that expands the brace up to 6XL. Depending on the patient's size, the side arms can be “cut to size” or folded along the indicated lines. The horizontal compression of the lower back is achieved through our specially designed pulley system. Our compound pulley system works by utilizing triple woven nylon-string and easy-to-grip pull tabs to achieve optimal compression of the lower back. The dual pull tabs attach onto the side arms by utilizing medical grade hook and loop fasteners. The shoulder straps use bilateral load lifters to easily adjust the vertical length. An adjustable thoracic buckle secures the brace onto the torso.
