The Air A Med Recovery Ankle Brace was designed to assist in the treatment of ankle sprains, strains, tendon injuries, ankle instability, and/or osteoarthritis of the ankle and foot. The goal of this brace is to provide stability to the ankle joint by limiting inversion, eversion, and rotation.
The Recovery Ankle Brace is equipped with bilateral hinges to allow supported flexion and extension at the ankle joint. The step-down design gives the patient the ability to remove the extender and wear the base component in a shoe, as needed for support.
Our EZ Pull Tie lacing system is designed to offer a customizable level of compression over the foot through easy-to-grip pull tabs. An adjustable calf cuff strap secures the superior portion of the brace into place. The tabs and straps are held secure by medical grade hook and loop fasteners. The lining of the brace is equipped with circumferential deluxe padding to provide optimal comfort. The brace is able to be further customized to the patient via a moldable footplate.
